I Don't "Heart" Politics
I am not a political being - - believe that - - and I really don't care to enter into a political discussion....
BUT...
I have just 'heard' someone else say they have a candidate they really like, but they probably won't vote for him because he could never get elected......well.....no, he can't......not if you don't vote for him ..... AR-RG-H !!

yes, I've heard the same and it makes me more determined to vote.
Does nobody understand that this is PRIMARY season??? This is the time that we're supposed to vote for the underdogs we love. Who knows, maybe they'll even win! At the very least, more delegates with our ideals in mind will travel to the national conventions, which will affect the feeling there, and will effect the mind of whomever does get the nomination.
The ignorance and apathy makes me naseous. Poop.
Hey, I understand and agree. If you don't support the candidate you believe in, you are allowing others to dictate the manner in which you will live your life.
Sometimes its a shame you can't use a sledgehammer to adjust people's attitudes.

I hate that. I think I'm going third party. I know they won't win, but at least I'm making my statement that the other options always suck
Oh how I agree, it makes me ill to think of all the good people out there who never have a chance because they aren't bajillionaires or old boy politicos. They squash the underdog and perpetuate the idea that one vote doesn't make a difference, added up they sure do. After awhile it just gets depressing.
Yes , people saying " he's not fit to be there" or "however did they win" and when asked they say "oh i didnt vote" makes me want to bang there heads against a wall!
ryc: No, I don't think I'm fooling anybody (well, maybe myself, sometimes). But I do think my online "voice" might be a bit different than the public "face" that I show the world, particularly since opening the restaurant. I certainly feel freer to speak my mind here on xanga.
I like that you keep certain things about yourself mysterious. It gives more weight, in a way, to the things you choose to share. I definitely have moments where I wonder if I'm giving away too much of myself in this forum. I've left anonymity behind, certainly...
Good point, and votes mean more during primaries.
